Mothers Day Gift Guide

Yup, today's post is going to be just as the title says.  Just to give you a heads up, most of it is going to be jewelry- the good news is that there will be something for every price range.  Holla. You know how I do.

$26.90 ASOS Drop Earrings With Tassels

These earrings are a perfect Mothers Day gift for a good friend, or a coworker with a great style, etc.  They have it in different colors as well, check it out!

$39 + Jess LC Diversy Collection

In the "Diversy" collection, they have funkier styles.  I fell in love with this little paisley when I saw one of my favs, Kendi of Kendi Everyday when she wore it in this pic:

How precious!  The bracelet is only $39, and the necklace I put up was $90, but check out all the different collections!

$48 M.E. I'm Fly Ring

Aight, look.  I love this ring from my (fellow Iranian) girl Melody Eshani SO MUCH, that I didn't even want to share it with you.  You know why? Because I'm broke, that's why.  And I would be BLOWN if they were sold out, which they will be soon (they already have been once).  They have it in gold, black and white.  My other homegirl Erykah Badu loves to rock the I'm Fly rings and bracelets!

$85 Personalized Charm Necklace

How amazing is this thing?? I love it!  I first saw this featured on Pioneer Woman's blog (another one of my favs for sure, thanks Caroline!).  Check out Southernheidibelle's shop on Etsy to see other personalizes items if this is too much for your mama recipient.  Oh, and if you don't know what Etsy is, it's a website for people to sell handmade or true vintage items.  It doesn't even have to be an item, if you are looking for a business card template or banner, or kids birthday party decorations, you can find it!  Very awesome.  Love etsy!
annd pssstttt: I finally took pics of some of my vintage clothes, so my shop will finally be opening soon!

$53.79  ASOS Tortoise Shell Boyfriend Style Watch

ASOS is a European shop with great clothes and jewelry.  They have their own brand as well as other brands like Nicole Richie's, Sienna Miller.  Anyway, check out their other watches and jewelry.  Or maybe get your mama nice scarf?

$125 Calender Bracelet

A cute little bracelet with the month and a tiny jewel or gem for the day the mama had one of her love.  Or if it's multiple, you can add more little calenders and it would like this:

Very cute! However, if you get the gold ones, they are...........wait, are you ready for it?? Waaiiittt fooorrrr itttt...$650!  Insane, I know.  But hey, I bet if you search etsy you can find something similar for less.  Check it out!

So what do you think? Do you like any of the stuff?  I know it's a little late and you may have already ordered something, but lets face it, there are a lot of procrastinators out there, ok?!

If I can think of anything more than the one item I have in my head that's not jewelry, then I will do another blog about it within the next couple days.  I'm going to really try to think of some original things, so check back!

Gift Guide #2- Gift Ideas under $20

The older you get, the more people you gotta gifts for. I've learned it's normal protocol to get the neighbor, your babysitter, your boss, the administrative assistant, your dance teacher etc. a gift for the holiday. So I've put together some last minute gift ideas for all of the above and/or friends, lovers, co-workers, and/or stocking stuffers:

- Kevin Hart, Seriously Funny DVD (wal-mart $13)

- Happy Birthday nail polish by Deborah Hopmann (haven't seen it in stores, so google it- but one idea is to print out a picture and put it in a cute box to let them know it's on it's way!)

- Ear Muffs

- Caldrea soap set from Target OR lotions/body washes from Marshalls/TJ Maxx (my favorite scent is the blue one called Herbs of Provence, found at Target.)

- Eye makeup remover + Queen Helene Apricot Scrub (I reviewed here)

- Yankee Candle Balsam & Cedar candle + those long lighters for grills OR candle warmer (this is my favorite holiday scent- it smells like Christmas trees)

- 3 Magazines + popcorn bag & candy bar + slippers for a night-at-home in-a-bag idea

- Petsmart gift card + lint roller pack for the animal lover (they'll be thankful the next bag of cat or dog food will be free)

- Cake or cupcake pan + baking cookbook or cupcake cookbook for the baker

- Herb and vegetable seeds + planters + cute salt & pepper shakers for the cook

- Working record player from Freecycle + records from the thrift store for the music lover

- Coffee table book + coasters for the neighbor (Check out Postsecret book if you don't know about it)

- Travel journal + eye-patch + headphones for the travel OR a couple magazines for the traveler (or workaholic)

- slippers + therapeutic neck wrap + aromatherapy bath crystals for the babysitter (find all these items for cheap at stores like TJ Maxx/Ross/Marshalls)

- Notepad and pen set + cute fabric box for desktop organization for the student

- Bake cookies, banana bread, or festive cupcakes

- Make chocolate dipped pretzels with holiday sprinkles

Holiday Gift Guide- For Her (Part 1)

The holidays are not just around the corner anymore, they are pretty much here.  The malls are filled with people, street lights are filled with decorations, and holiday music is playing everywhere you go.  Whether you are looking to get a present for your boss, neighbor, significant other, in-laws, or Mom, I will be posting some favorite things I have come across that I think would make great gifts.

Black Asos Watch

ASOS Silicon Strap Bracelet Watch With Metal Face ($44.82)
Any girl can use a watch.  One might be quick to think that we most often look to our cell phones to keep the time, but they're still wrist candy.  Watches are timeless pieces that can add to any outfit.

Mini Elephant Jewelry box

Z Gallerie Elephant Jewel Box ($18.79)
Only the Elephant is left.  This gift would be cute for a boss, a friend, in a stocking, etc.  It's really beautiful and different.  These are great to keep rings in, and small earrings as well.

Scarf and Glove Set

F21 Scarf and Glove Combo (more colors) ($7.50)
First of all, even if you get just a scarf, this mustard color is a must have for a scarf.  There is currently one at target that's a tiny bit lighter, and made of better material (where as this set is a perfectly cute warm accessory for outerwear).  Many girls I know have the scarf from Target that I speak of.  So this set is perfect peace it's only $7.50, it's warm, and it makes a cute and thoughtful small gift.  Good for a coworker.

Thermal Pajama Pants:

Close Fit Pajama Bottoms ($10.80)
These sexy pajama pants are cute and comfy!  Any pajama set makes a great gift.  You can find flannel sets as well.  Victoria's Secret has a great selection, though it is pricier than this F21 pajama bottom.

Elephant Necklace:

Sri Lanka fancy elephant necklace ($12)
This necklace has a surprisingly cheap price for as beautiful as it is.  I love elephants (as you may know by now), and I think this necklace can go with a lot as well as add a lot to an outfit.  It would be really cute with a gray v-neck tee.  Also, white shirt with jeggings, an army green blazer, and black or dark brown booties.

Rainboot Plant (for the office):

mini rainboot gardens ($14)  This is a really great gift for someone's office desk, or maybe a kids' bookshelf.  They have different colors, just click the link to go to the site.  This gift would be great for anyone.  It's great because you could really give it to a lot of different type of people, and it would most likely still be appreciated.  It's a unique gift/idea- those gifts are the best, in my opinion.    Cute Russian Doll Measuring Cups (for the home):
Russian Doll measuring cups ($16) These measuring cups are adorable for any girl with an apartment!  They are so chic and unique while being useful.  Another thoughtful gift idea that would probably please most gals.
Well folks, it is late for me tonight.  Devin's birthday is today!! My baby boy is going to be one year old, and I can't believe it!  Anyway, I will be doing more gift guides.  I hope you enjoyed!  Feel free to share your ideas as well.

Happy Sunday!

Mothers Day is next Sunday!  This will be my first official Mothers Day, and even though it is a silly commercial holiday, I am a little bit excited.  I would love to have a brunch with my mom.....along with some type of jewelry, since I don't have not even one diamond or gemstone.  Isn't that kind of sad?  I am not pressed for diamonds really (I even want a lab created if I ever get engaged), but I do want just a dressy necklace, every girl should have one!  I recently discovered the gem stone green amethyst, and fell in love.

But being a Mom isn't about getting spoiled on Mothers Day, is it?  For some it may be, but for me it will be a day of appreciating my Mom, reminiscing and now understanding so many things I hadn't before.  I am pretty excited.  What are you going to get your Mom for Mothers Day?  Some ideas:

- Massage gift card
- A lovely picture frame with a nice picture in it (Homegoods has beautiful frames, Target has nice ones too!)
- Make a brunch and put some type of pretty/different flowers on the table:
- Pedicure/Manicure (kinda unoriginal, but I'm sure she'll still appreciate it)
- A coupon that you will come clean the kitchen, bedroom, etc.
- Bonsai Tree

There are many little things you could do for your Mom, she'll probably love a sappy card too.  So, enjoy your Sunday, think of what you may get for next Sunday if you haven't already!

P.S. Macy's is having the family and friends sale, today is the last day to get 25% off everything online and in-store. ;)
