What it is?

I accidentally never uploaded last Friday, or maybe Thursday(?)'s outfits.  So after I took pics of today's, I uploaded them and saw I never shared one of my proudest outfits.  It's nothing special, but I was just really pleased the way it all turned out- from me finding a skirt I was looking for, to my make-up, to the mixture of colors and accessories.  It's rare that I love how I have my accessories- I feel like I need more.  But anyway, here they are:

It's rare that I find accessories that I am head over heels for, but this belt is one of them.  I was so excited when I found it.

black cardi: old, old f21 ($?)
coral/red shirt: f21 ($14)
tiger skirt: thrifted, ($1.95, I was originally looking for leopard)
belt: thrifted/vintage ($3)
tights: cvs ?
steve madden shoes- ebay, ($36- not including shipping)
earrings: f21 ($3)
watch: asos, gifted ($40)

Wednesday:

I just wanted you to see the pattern, basically seagreen and yellow blocks of color.  If you click on it, you can probably zoom even more.
 purple cardi: f21 ($8)
orange silk blouse: vintage/thrifted, ($4)
gap jeans: thrifted, ($14)
report black booties: ross, ($19)

I just realized, I don't really note when things I'm wearing are vintage.  So from now on, I'm going to.  Especially because I will be selling vintage clothes, and I feel that people automatically think, 'I don't think I'll like vintage, I'm not that type of person,'  but people have no idea how cute cuts, nice patterns, and better quality is what vintage clothes offer.  And best of all, you will be able to pull it off and somehow modernize the outfit.  Trust me, I could find you something you'd like.

p.s.  Wow, I look super blonde in these pics...for those who don't know, I loved dark hair (and with passion)...I slowly continued getting more and more blonde highlights, along with low-lights and medium brown under layer, and I am happy with it.

Wellie

Rain + rain boots = two things I LOVE. I love splashing around in rain boots, aka "wellies." When I see puddles, it doesn't matter where I am, I will happily stomp my foot in it.  I can wait till Devin does the same with his wellies.

trench: gifted
sweater: f21 ($14)
skirt: f21 (old, $13)
hunter boots: nordstrom, ($40 thanks to gift card and kids sizes, orig. $78)
black flats: bakers, thrifted ($8)

I had to dress up at work today, we normally get to wear jeans and jaunt.  But today we had to dress up for some visitors.  However, I knew it was supposed to rain "cats and dogs," and I knew it would be a lot and I would need my rain boots.  Besides, they are pricey and I promised myself I would wear them often (it will definitely be easy- they work in every season! ) But anyway, I brought my flats to dress up the outfit indoors.  It worked out nicely.

Until next time!

Hot Pants

These technically aren't hot pants, but they are HAWT pants.

From here I changed my lens to the 50mm one that I haven't even had much of a chance to try using! Do you notice anything different?  Hmm, maybe that it's a tiny bit out of focus.  Also, I noticed it takes the picture a lot faster (faster shutter speed somehow?) and the pictures were more true to the colors.  I always end up having to edit and lighten my photos, these I didn't touch.

boys christian dior blazer- thrifted ($3)
mustard j crew shirt: thrifted ($8)
j crew cords: thrifted ($12)
fiona brand shoe (payless?)- thrifted ($7)

Oh, this color j crew shirt I have been wanting FOREVER! I went to j crew in the mall and it was on "sale" for $30. Best believe I turned my self around and walked out that door empty handed! Shoooot.  The next day I went to Mustard Seed in Bethesda- (which is a more expensive thrift store that I still love because they are fair for their prices) which unfortunately for my pocket, is right across the street from my job.  I frequent it way too often, but especially when I am specifically looking for something in particular, then I go several times during the week.  But anyway, I went and they had it for $8 and I was thrilled.  I'd been wanting it for a while!

So that's that!  I'm proud of myself for my color combos the past two days!  Tomorrow is Friday, I might take a super comfortable route.

Gettin Old

I played with Dev, which consisted of crawling all over the floor and banging my knees.  My one knee is killing me now!  Can't help but think, "damn, it must be a part of gettin old..."  I mean, I'm not one of those people who are 23 calling themselves "old."  But 25 is ok.  (Just kidding).

white coat: express -gab bros ($20) originally $80 and $175 in stores
leopard shirt: f21 ($13)
gap jeans: "thrifted" ($14)
vintage nine west shoes: gab bros. ($30)

Haha! Michael just said "Cuz you're old!" to someone at the t.v.  Whatever it was in response to, I wonder if we often think about getting or being old....is this what happens when you become a parent perhaps? I really am just kiddin though.  Promise.

Anyway, these aren't my favorite pics (dont mind my mug). I love these jeans every now and then, but I am very picky with what shoes I wear with them.   Well, anyhow, I'm gonna look at a few of my fav blogs, get some inspiration for what to pair with this skirt I want to wear tomorrow, and then get ready for bed!

Night!

Tough n Sweet

Today, I was super comfortable.  These pants kill me with their comfyness.  I immediately knew I wanted to wear them with my short, rugged looking boots- and in order to make my outfit more feminine, I decided to top it off with a soft, pale pink cardigan, big gold earrings, and lipstick.  It came together quite well, don't you think?

I swear I wasn't trying to be cute, I was actually making faces and fake laughing with Devin.  He started it!

See my ASOS watch I put in my holiday gift guide below.  p.s. You have to slip it over your hand, it doesn't have a clasp.  It's weird, but I still like it.

pink new york and company cardi: gab. bros ($6)
white tee: f21 ($5)
black harem pants: f21 ($14)
zigi soho meena boots: dsw ($26)
gold earrings: f21, gift
asos watch: gift ($40)
blue/gray infinity scarf: f21, gift

Banana Pudding

I'm eating this amazing banana pudding as I type.  Have you had banana pudding?  It's bomb.  My boss made it for a holiday potluck.  I really love this time of year. I actually crave it at some point in every summer.  I don't like my wallet being empty and my credit cards being full, nor the long lines, the crowded stores and psycho people, but I do like the holiday spirit, candy canes, holiday lights on peoples homes, holiday lights in general, hot chocolate, and snow!

Tonight, there is a lunar eclipse tonight in a couple hours and I am excited.  I can see the moon from my bedroom window quite perfectly, I'm very excited!  So I wanted to quickly post a couple outfit pictures before I try to get some shut eye before said lunar eclipse.

#1- Dream Coat:
I had been looking for an affordable long, white, wool trench for a couple years.  I didn't stop until I found the perfect one, and this was it:

I look like a midget with no neck in this pic, but I wanted you to see the colors of the shirt.  I wish you could see it better, but it's so pretty!

I looooove love love these shoes I got over the weekend.  They are Nine West vintage collection, and I couldn't stop myself from getting them.  They will be fun to pair with, and you will probably see a lot of them.

Whole outfit from Gabriel Brothers (I posted about here)
Express Coat: $15
Liz Claiborne shirt: $15
J Brand Jeans: $20
Nine west shoes: $35

Later that day I changed (terrified to get the white coat dirty), and good thing I did, as I spilled the coffee I'm holding in my hand all over myself 15 minutes later.
This coat was new too.  Well, new to me, but thrifted for $40.  It's warm, long, and has a large fold down collar, which I love!

#2: Comfy clothes for a quick holiday shopping run:
These leggings are thick, warm, and super soft.  They have cute buttons on the bottom that make them look not as pajama-y, but I will probably mostly wear boots with them, so I guess they will always look like jammies.  Maybe when it warms up I will get creative.  I got a paid of brown ones too, I couldn't resist!

cardi: thrifted ($14)
black shirt: hand me down
poof sweater leggings: gabriel brothers ($7)
uggs: nordstrom anniversary sale ($80)

Hope you enjoyed and/or got some ideas.  Goodnight!
